Job Description
The Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing dealer/distributor networks, promoting agri-inputs (Seeds | Fertilizers | Pesticides | Farm Equipment), and providing agronomic support to farmers. This role ensures achievement of business targets while strengthening relationships with channel partners and farmers in the assigned territory.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Achieve monthly, quarterly & annual sales targets
Develop & implement sales strategies for the territory
Identify & onboard new dealers, distributors & retailers
Monitor competitor activities & share market intelligence
Channel & Farmer Relationship Management
Build strong relationships with dealers, distributors, retailers & farmers
Conduct farmer meetings, field demos & product awareness programs
Ensure timely supply, availability & visibility of products
Resolve farmer & channel partner grievances promptly
Team & Territory Management
Supervise & guide Field Staff / Field Officers
Plan promotional campaigns, farmer trainings & field days
Monitor field activities & ensure effective coverage
Manage budgets & ensure cost-effective operations
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare daily, weekly & monthly sales reports
Track outstanding payments & ensure credit control
Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing & schemes
Submit MIS reports, competitor insights & farmer database
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelorβs / Masterβs in Agriculture / Agri-Business / Related Field
8β12 years of experience in agri-input sales (Seeds, Fertilizers, Pesticides, Equipment)
Strong knowledge of local crops, farming practices & agri markets
Proven track record in achieving sales targets & managing dealer networks
