Job Description
The Senior Sales Officer is responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding the dealer/distributor network, and providing agronomic solutions to farmers. The role includes market development, promotional activities, and ensuring product availability in the assigned area for Seeds | Fertilizers | Pesticides | Farm Equipment.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Sales & Market Development
Achieve monthly & annual sales targets
Develop sales plans & penetration strategies
Identify new business opportunities
Monitor competitor activities & market trends
Dealer / Distributor / Retailer Management
Strengthen channel partner relationships
Ensure order booking, supply & stock availability
Support visibility & sales growth
Manage outstanding payments & credit control
Farmer Connect & Agronomy Support
Conduct farmer meetings, demos & field days
Provide technical & agronomic support
Collect farmer feedback & share insights
Build farmer database & relationships
Promotions & Field Activities
Execute marketing campaigns & product launches
Distribute promotional material
Organize training sessions for partners & field staff
Reporting & Coordination
Submit daily sales & field reports
Share competitor information
Work with Territory/Area Manager for growth
Ensure compliance with company policies
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Agri-Business
3–6 years of experience in agri-input sales (Seeds, Fertilizers, Pesticides, or Equipment)
Strong knowledge of local cropping patterns & farming practices
