About the Role
The WASH Institute is looking for a seasoned Project Coordinator to oversee and drive our rural development initiatives in Ramanathapuram. As a senior member of the field team, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between grassroots stakeholders and district administration, ensuring that project objectives are met with high quality, financial integrity, and strong community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stakeholder Management & Coordination
Serve as the primary point of contact for field-level coordination between farmers, Block and District officials, and Gram Panchayat members.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with government departments to ensure project alignment with local policies.
2. Team Leadership & Management
Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and guidance to a field team of 5+ persons.
Delegate tasks effectively and ensure the team remains motivated and on track to meet project milestones.
3. Project Operations & Reporting
Facilitate on-ground surveys and systematic data collection to track project progress.
Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual project reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee the planning and execution of IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) activities and technical training programs for the community.
4. Financial & Administrative Oversight
Support project finance management, including budget planning, expense forecasting, and periodic reviews.
Ensure strict adherence to internal compliance protocols and organizational policies.
Location: Kamuthi, Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu
Duration: 17-Months
Salary: ₹60,000 – ₹65,000 per month (Commensurate with experience)

Requirement
Education
Master of Social Work (MSW) from a recognized institution.
Overall Experience
7–10 years of proven experience in the Rural Development sector.
Management Experience
3–5 years specifically in managing teams and overseeing project lifecycles.
Language Skills
Full professional proficiency (Speak, Read, Write) in Tamil and English.
Location
Must be based in or willing to relocate to Kamuthi,Ramanathapuram District.
Competencies
Excellent leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong understanding of rural governance structures and the socio-economic landscape of Tamil Nadu.
Proficiency in financial tracking and report writing.
Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple field-level priorities.
