About the Role
The WASH Institute is seeking a dedicated Soil and Water Conservation Specialist to lead on-ground agricultural interventions in Rameshwaram. This role is pivotal in helping local farming communities adopt sustainable water management practices, improve crop yields through efficient resource use, and leverage digital tools for climate resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Location: Kamuthi, Ramanathapuram , Tamil Nadu
Duration: 16-Month Contract
Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹35,000 per month (Commensurate with experience)
Qualifications & Requirements
Criteria | Requirement |
Education | B.Sc. Agriculture from a recognized university. |
Experience | 1–3 years of relevant experience in agriculture, soil conservation, or rural development. |
Language | Full professional proficiency (Speak, Read, Write) in Tamil and English. |
Location | Must be willing to be based in and travel within Kamuthi, Ramanathapuram District. |
Preferred Skills
Demonstrated experience in monitoring and evaluation of field-level interventions.
